NONVIOLENCE LAB IS…
- A platform for grassroots, community-building, humanizing nonviolence projects, in Oakland, California, and planet-wide;
- A resource center, knowledge base and ideas exchange for people courageously experimenting with nonviolence;
- A “parallel” institution (not a 501(c)(3) corporation), operating outside traditional power and economic structures;
- A cooperative community of individuals, dedicated to embodying nonviolent values and paying forward a gift of nonviolence education to anyone who needs it.

Riseup provides online communication tools for people working on liberatory social change, supporting free exchange and self-determination, and offering a radical alternative to the corporate internet. Riseup is a courageous group of people doing the same thing we’re intent on doing — taking control of our own lives, pulling ourselves out the industrial and corporate machine, and offering alternatives in service to others who no longer want to be part of the machine.
